I'm always looking for good note taking tools that I can use in and out of the office. This week I discovered Evernote, which I have to say has been a great find!

What I like best:

  • As a small business owner, I am always on the go. With Evernote, when I stumble across something interesting, am in a meeting and need to record something important, etc., I can easily capture these things. Evernote allows me to write notes, store web pages, snap pictures and take screen shots!
  • As a Mac man, everything I save to my Evernote account syncs up with all of my devices: computer, iphone and ipad.
  • I can easily organize my data and search through and find my previous notes with Evernote's search function.
  • You can link your Evernote and twitter accounts and send tweets directly to your Evernote account.

When working with B2B clients on inbound marketing, it is often necessary to login to client's Google accounts when working on documents, sending emails, checking google alerts and google analytics, etc. In the past it's been a bit of a pain having to log in and out for each client, including our company. However, Google has made this much easier for businesses like ours, as they have added a multiple sign-in feature allowing users to login and stay logged in to multiple accounts at a time. Learn how below!

Non Sales B.S.

I think this is the most important part of our website. I hope this page allows you to see we are really human, we don't walk on water and we are not here to get rich and we are not perfect.

We do really good work and provide really sound advice and strive to help our customers be wildly successful.

We always:

  • Make things right if we blunder
  • Make things right if our client blunders (No, we don't exepect you to be perfect either)
  • Have almost all of our clients ask us to be full time employees
  • Give more than we take, typically 10:1 ROI
  • Seek to get things in before the deadline
  • Increase sales within 6 months, period if you follow our advice.
  • Treat our client's company as if it was our own. Example: I stayed up 24 hours with a sales person to be a sounding board while they put the finishing touches on a $35M RFP...even though they were three months behind on paying our firm.

Believe it or not, we sometimes:

  • Say the wrong thing, and put our foot in our mouth
  • Miss a deadline (death in the family, birth of children, computer crashes, just plain forget)
  • Get frustrated with our clients
  • Get our clients frustrated with us
  • Don't get the ROI we hoped for

Core Values (These Never Change)

  1. Courage
  2. Integrity
  3. Character
  4. Focus-The center of an interest or activity. It is our belief a lack of focus on the customer and how to attract them gets lost in the shuffle.
  5. Authenticity-Of indisputable origin. We place a high value fo living outside the box in a way that is functional and relevant to our customers.
  6. Passion

*(from the book The Backbone of Leadership by Gus Lee)

Beliefs (these change as we learn and grow)

  1. Inbound marketing is the single biggest game changer for small companies when executed properly. A company should never lack for a healthy sales pipeline.

Fun Facts to Prove We are Human

  2. Kallie- is in a video game as a University of Wisconsin-Madison Dancer
  3. Scott-has a nephew that played on the 2010 World Cup soccer team
